Girls are born afraid of spiders

... according to a study: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/6128943/Girls-are-born-afraid-of-spiders.html

Personally I can think of a lot of different interpretations for the findings, but I have to get to work now, and then drive to Madrid, so for this time I'll let it drop. :D

This one is a particularly cute one, isn't it? Or is it just the nice blue background suits it?

Hi Maryanne, back from holidays I'm seeing that you're also back from England. Where are you working this year? In Vilanova?
Ohh, by the way: I'm not afraid of spiders, there are more horrible animals for me!!!

Hiya Elisabeth, welcome back!

To be perfectly honest, I used to have a tarantula, and I ended up giving it away after it escaped one night and we had to find it (scary) and catch it (scarier), so I really can't claim NOT to be scared of spiders when they're big, poisonous, fast and aggressive, but I think those little house spiders like the one in the photo are cute, practically harmless, and just have an unjustified bad reputation.

But like you, I'm frightened of certain other animals. Scorpions, for example, or jellyfish. Humans too, a lot of the time. :P

Which ones are you scared of?

I'm scared of rats. I hate them...

Ah, no, I think rats are cute. The only animals that I dislike are pigeons and most monkeys.
Don't you think monkeys are a bit creepy? Too human-like.
